AGE RESTRICTIONS
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 20 years.
Drivers aged 20 to 22 are subject to a young driver surcharge.
All drivers must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years.
Exceptions may be possible—please contact us for more information.
Drivers aged 80 and above may rent a vehicle but will incur a senior driver fee.
International renters must present a valid driver’s license issued in their country of residence.
If the license is not printed in the Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic), an International Driving Permit (IDP) must be provided alongside the original license.
RENTAL RATES
The minimum rental charge is one day (24 hours). One additional hour (0-59 minutes) is free of charge. For more than one additional hour (60 minutes plus) an extra day is charged.
RENTAL EXTENSION
If you would like to extend your rental beyond the originally agreed period, please let us know at least 24 hours before your scheduled return time. This advance notice helps us update your insurance coverage and ensure your continued peace of mind throughout the extension. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and final confirmation from our rental office. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request and make the process as smooth as possible. If you have any questions or need assistance with extending your rental, feel free to contact us anytime.
RESERVATIONS
Can be confirmed only for a car groups, not for a specific type of car. All reservations are on request – subject to our confirmation of availability.
You can cancel the booking up to 24 hours before rental start at no additional costs, otherwise 1 day rental will be charged. No shows will be charged for the full rental amount. A ‘no-show’ occurs for the following reasons:
If you return the Vehicle before the end of the Rental Period, you will not be entitled to the return of any unused prepaid Rental Charges.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION
To be able to pick up your rental car, you must present the following documentation:
SECURITY DEPOSIT
The deposit amount depends on the vehicle class and the selected insurance package, and ranges from €100 to €2,000.
The deposit will be fully refunded immediately after the vehicle is returned, provided that:
The vehicle is returned on time
It is in the same condition as at pickup (no damage, missing parts, or equipment)
All rental terms have been met (fuel level, cleanliness, documentation, etc.)
Please note: the refund process may also depend on your bank or card provider, and in some cases, it may take a few business days for the funds to become available again on your account.
FUEL POLICY
When picking up the vehicle, the client receives it with a full fuel tank and is expected to return it full as well.
If the vehicle is returned without a full tank, the client will be charged for the missing fuel plus an additional refueling service fee of €30 + VAT.
If the prepaid fuel option is chosen, the vehicle is handed over with a full tank and must be returned empty.
In this case, no refund will be given regardless of the fuel level upon return.
HIGHWAY TOLLS / TRAFFIC & PARKING FINES
In case of non-payment of the highway toll, the customer will be charged for 40 EUR for administrative expenses in addition to the highway toll itself.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
We gladly accept all major credit cards, including EuroCard/MasterCard and VISA. Debit cards such as VISA Electron and Maestro are also welcome. For your convenience, we accept cash payments as well, providing flexible options to suit your preference.
ONE WAY RENTALS
National and international one way rentals are available upon request. In domestic one way rentals additional charges may apply, in such case you will be advised before final booking confirmation.
International one way rentals always take extra charge, exact amount depends of the returning site, car type and rental length – please contact us for details before making a reservation.
CROSS BORDER RENTALS
Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries at no additional charge: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Only with prior notice to BESTRENT, cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries: Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria. Additional fees may apply – contact us for more details.
BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE
For any mechanical faults on the rented vehicle that may occur during the rental period, BESTRENT provides free of charge breakdown assistance. However, in cases when a breakdown or damage results from driver`s improper use or negligence (wrong fuel, lost or damaged car keys, drained battery due to lights left on, driving on unsealed roads, etc..) the renter will be held liable for assistance costs.

INSURANCE
When renting a vehicle from BESTRENT, client is responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition as at the beginning of rental, excluding normal wear, tear and cleanliness.
All cars rented from BESTRENT include Third Party Liability Insurance, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and Theft Protection.
TP (THEFT PROTECTION/WAIVER) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
This limitation shall apply in the case of loss of the rental vehicle, it’s parts and accessories (including tires, stereo equipment etc.) as a result of theft or attempted theft.
TP limits clients financial responsibility to the Excess Amount stated on the Rental Agreement. TP is not valid if the vehicle is left unlocked or the keys are left unattended with the vehicle.
Included in rental price, Excess amount between 700 EUR and 2000 EUR, depending on car size.
LDW (LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER) OR SCDW (SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER)
By accepting LDW / SCDW clients financial responsibility for accidental damage to the vehicle, it’s parts and accessories, theft or attempted theft is reduced to 100 – 200 EUR, depending on car size. However LDW / SCDW does not cover any damage to the interior of the rental vehicle, tire and wheel damage, damage to the underside of the vehicle, broken or lost keys or contamination of fuel, neither in event of deliberate intention or negligence. Any liability on the part of BESTRENT for loss or damage to items placed or left in the rental vehicle shall be excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Optional, daily rate between 12 EUR and 25 EUR, depends on car type.
WUG (WHEELS, UNDERSIDE & GLASS INSURANCE)
Extra insurance that covers damages on wheels, underside of the vehicle and glass/windows – except in event of deliberate intention, negligence or if the car is driven on unsealed roads.
Optional, daily rate between 5 EUR and 10 EUR, depends on car type.
DRIVER NEGLIGENCE
Any damage to the vehicle done by driver’s negligence – such as burnt clutch, any damage caused by driving on unsealed roads (damaged wheels, tires, underside of the vehicle; scratches made by vegetation), parking the car on high sidewalk curbs, damaged or lost car keys, any damage on the interior of the car, etc. – will be charged to the client for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST, regardless of the level of insurance.
If client used the wrong fuel when filling the car, he will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST.
Any damage to the vehicle done by unauthorized driver (not named on the rental agreement) or by any person while being under the influence of alcohol, barbiturates, narcotics, hallucinatory or other drugs, will be charged to the client for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST.
